Description & Requirements

About You:

The Onboard Catering Specialist has a keen eye for detail, and the ability to prioritize tasks. Perform accurate weekly inventory of all onboard products, including the inputting of this data into consumption tracking methods, and place weekly orders with various vendors as needed. Receive and prepare all deliveries and assist in invoicing and inventory tracking of all received product. Coordinate and transfer product between stations as needed, and communicate effectively and harmoniously with various parties, including other teams within JSX and external vendors. Build a knowledge of all onboard products, ensure proper rotation of product and maintain a clean stock area and appropriate stock levels. Assist in the pulling of FA stock requests, bringing stock to the aircraft, returning and refilling of catering-related drawers and trays, and other tasks as needed.

Essential Requirements: 

  • Maintain PAR levels, notify or order/procure product needed between regularly scheduled shipments.
  • Perform onboard surveys with crewmember and customers to determine satisfaction of products offered onboard.
  • Perform weekly inventory of all catering supplies, including inputting the data when the catering supervisor is unavailable to do so.
  • Order products from all vendors when the catering supervisor is unavailable to place orders, weekly as needed (6-8 orders weekly) 
  • Support the airport services oncierge team in pulling stock requests, taking stock requests out to the aircraft, returning catering carts/drawers and calling in lavatory/potable water requests.
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic skills.
  • Understanding of FIFO (First in First Out)
  • Lift, bend, and stack items up to 25 lbs. frequently, and up to 100 lbs. occasionally.
  • Ability to communicate effectively using a variety of methods.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
