Fine Print for Direct Entry Captains:
- 2500 hours total time required (essential requirement)
- 1000 Hours Minimum Multi-Engine, Multi-Crew Jet Flight Time as PIC (essential requirement)
- FAA First Class Medical Certificate (essential requirement)
- Valid and Current Passport (essential requirement)
- Must be fluent in the English language (essential requirement)
- A direct entry captain is a new hire pilot that has extensive multi engine jet time in a two-crew environment. Each direct entry captain will complete all the training requirements for a Pilot in Command (PIC) and Second in Command (SIC) and within 4 months be assigned PIC duties after successful completion of PIC initial operating experience and line check.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Performs all flight duties as assigned by the PIC.
- Maintains a current medical certificate as required by the company and notifies the Chief Pilot if a medical (physical or mental) condition may impair his/her ability to perform the flight.
- Maintain vigilance for persons that are in the aircraft vicinity or may have boarded the aircraft that have not been escorted by a GSC.
Physical demands:
- Intermittent physical activity including bending, reaching and prolonged periods of sitting.
- Must be able to work all shifts.
- Ability to occasionally lift 5-50 pounds.
- Ability to occasionally team lift 50+ pounds.
