Description & Requirements

About YOU

As the Technician of Security Technology & Planning, you will act as the key administration to the Manager of Security Technology and Planning on all aviation security technology matters at JSX including deployment, installation, and maintenance. You will be trained on the installation and maintenance of Explosive Trace Detection (ETD) systems, and Weapons Detection Systems (WDS). You will administer and establish preventative maintenance programs and take inventory on all security technology and assess what technology is appropriate for various locations. You will respond to security technology requests including 24/7 Security Hotline as needed. You will act as a consultant with all Crewmember work groups on security related and program training and briefings. You will also plan site visits for current and new stations to ensure technology is being used per policy and coach/audit station operations as needed. You will collaborate with Security Training Team in developing and disseminating Security technology information relevant to Airport Services and Security Service business partners.

Fine Print

  • High school diploma or equivalent (essential requirement)
  • Four-year college degree in aviation or legal field (essential requirement)
  • Previous experience with security technology devices such as ETD, X-Ray, and WDS (essential requirement)
  • 121 and 135 regulatory experiences (essential requirement)
  • Demonstrated project management and leadership abilities (essential requirement)
  • Skilled at developing and implementing preventative security programs in compliance with internal standards (essential requirement)
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills (essential requirement) 
  • Ability to gain and maintain trust with all levels of the organization (essential requirement)
  • Strong written, verbal, and executive level presentation skills (essential requirement)
  • Travel up to 60% (essential requirement)

 

Pay & Perks

Compensation range $70,000 - $80,000. This was established after performing market research and is aligned with our approach to compensation. Most qualified Candidates will receive an offer near the starting point of our compensation range.
